The Savannah Convention Center’s (SCC) Senior Vice President and General Manager Kelvin Moore and his team invite local media on Friday, February 14, for an exclusive first look at the fully completed expansion of the SCC.
SCC is set to host its first event in the newly expanded facility with the highly anticipated NIKE Savannah Showdown women’s volleyball tournament, taking place February 15-17, 2025. This premier competition will draw more than 345 teams to the Savannah area. The press will be able to see the pre-event set-up, interview event planners, and see firsthand how this expansion will enhance future events like these.
The participating press will have access to SCC’s brand-new 200,000-square-foot exhibit space, an expanded 40,000-square-foot ballroom, 14 additional meeting rooms, new boardrooms, a highly anticipated 900-space parking garage, and the breathtaking Savannah Terrace, offering panoramic views of the Savannah River and Landmark Historic District.
When: Friday, February 14, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. sharp.

Convention Center staff and board members, along with Savannah Mayor Van Johnson and Chatham County Chairman Chester Ellis, will be on hand to answer questions and offer comments on the completed expansion.
